Full teaching artist resume available on request

Zachary Elkind is a director, assistant director, and teaching artist based in New York,

interested in reimagined classics, new plays and musicals, and devised work.

Most recently, I directed Macbeth at NYU Steinhardt; directed workshops of Shakespeare's Joan of Arc (an original adaptation of Henry VI Part 1) and of the stage adaptation of His Dark Materials; wrote and shot Let's Do It, a movie musical imagining Cole Porter's senior year of college; and spent the summer at Acting Manitou, a summer theater camp, teaching and directing.

I also assistant directed BEDLAM's off-Broadway production of Uncle Romeo Vanya Juliet, a mash-up of Uncle Vanya and Romeo & Juliet, and assisted on the Live From Lincoln Center: Annaleigh Ashford, Megan Hilty, and Cynthia Erivo concerts, coming to PBS in May.
